Characteristics:

PYTHON SUPER 8S is an eight strand High Performance Wire Rope with a plastic coated IWRC. The Filler construction provides an excellent combination of flexibility, longevity and abrasion resistance. Due to its robust design, SUPER 8S is recommended for tough environmental and working conditions. In comparison to standard 6x36 constructions, SUPER 8S has up to 30% higher breaking load.

The oval geometry outer strands of the rope allows for optimized distribution of pressure on drum and sheaves, resulting in reduced wear and abrasion.

SUPER 8S is neither rotation-resistant nor non-rotating.

Fields of application:
SUPER 8S is recommended as trolley rope, luffing/penadant rope as well as hoisting rope for:

  • Portal and ship cranes
  • RTG
  • Floating
  • Container
  • Harbour cranes
